The capitalisation of the Mozambique Stock Exchange grew in the third quarter of 2024 year-on-year to 202.303 billion meticais, the equivalent of 28.12% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product.
According to data sent to Lusa on Monday by BVM’s president, Salim Valá, the institution recorded a turnover of 23.99 billion meticais in this period, a liquidity index of 11.86% and total financing to the economy of 344.468 billion meticais.
Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa SA was the most traded company in the third quarter of 2024, with 39.5% of the share market. It was followed by Companhia Moçambicana de Hidrocarbonetos SA, and Cervejas de Moçambique SA, both with a share of 27.9% each.
