Looted companies in Mozambique close and more than 12,000 Mozambicans out of work

More than 12,000 Mozambicans have lost their jobs due to the closure of companies and industries that were looted and vandalized during the country’s post-election protests. If the scenario continues over the next few days, the number of unemployed could rise to over 500,000.

The Mozambican business sector has lost more than 24.8 billion meticais during these times of vandalization.
