At least 200 classrooms were destroyed during demonstrations to contest the October election results in Tete province, central Mozambique.
Mozambique’s Minister of Education and Culture also admitted that around 8,500 classes are still taught outdoors in the country. According to her, at least 80 schools were affected during the post-election protests in the country, and resources are needed to rebuild them.
