More than 8,000 students attend classes outside in Central Mozambique

More than 8,000 students attend classes outside in the central province of Tete. The educational situation in the district of Tete, in the province of the same name, is worrying. Due to a shortage of classrooms, more than 8,000 pupils attend classes outdoors.

One hundred and twenty-eight classes are currently operating in makeshift premises, including churches and other spaces unsuitable for teaching. This reality has caused concern among parents and educators, who warn of the challenges students face, such as the lack of minimum conditions for effective learning.
