Mozambique starts producing vaccines

This year, Mozambique will start producing vaccines and large-volume injectables, which will guarantee the timely availability of these drugs in the National Health Service (SNS) for the prevention of diseases, especially tuberculosis and polio, and will minimize imports, especially of serums, products that have already been manufactured in Mozambique.

To this end, two more production lines are being set up, one for vaccines and the other for high-volume injectables, at Indústria Farmacêutica (INFARMA), in Matola, Maputo province.
