Cholera outbreak has killed 42 people since October in two Mozambican provinces

Of the total number of cholera cases reported in Mozambique, 1,537 were from Nampula province, with 32 deaths, and 236 from Zambézia, with 10 deaths. As of Wednesday, 44 patients had been admitted to health units.

Mozambican health authorities have recorded 42 deaths and 1,773 cases of cholera since October in Zambézia and Nampula, provinces in central and northern Mozambique, according to official data available to Lusa. The cholera outbreak was declared on October 17 in three regions of the provinces of Nampula and Zambézia.
