Cyclone Jude, which struck Mozambique on Monday, March 10th, bringing strong winds of up to 195 km/h and heavy rainfall exceeding 250mmin just 24 hours, has claimed at least six lives and caused significant destruction in northern Mozambique, including the destruction of more than 900 homes.
The National Institute for Risk and Disaster Management (INGD) confirmed that over 9,500 people have been affected, with 20 injured in the storm’s wake.
