Mozambique distributes 1.7 million mosquito nets in Cabo Delgado against malaria

The Mozambican government will distribute 1,771,400 insecticide-treated mosquito nets in the Cabo Delgado province in northern Mozambique to prevent malaria transmission. “We want to take this opportunity to reinforce the call for the correct use of mosquito nets, because when misused, they don’t work and won’t be able to protect us from mosquito bites,” said the governor of Cabo Delgado, Valige Tauabo, during the launch of the campaign to distribute free mosquito nets in that province.

The mosquito nets will be distributed in two phases, the first of which, according to Valige Tauabo, will cover the districts of the central and northern regions of Cabo Delgado and the second the southern region.
