On March 23, a meeting between the President of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo, and former presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane, took place in Maputo. A press release from the Presidency explained that the meeting was “part of the ongoing effort to promote national stability and strengthen the commitment to reconciliation and unity among Mozambicans”.
According to the press release, the meeting “reinforces the need to deepen reconciliation and consolidate a stable political environment, which is essential for the country’s socio-economic development.
