The European Union (EU) announced 41 million euros in humanitarian aid for the Southern Africa and Indian Ocean region for 2025, including 17 million for Mozambique and one million for Angola.
The biggest slice of this EU money will go to Mozambique, which will receive 17 million euros to support the country’s efforts to respond to the consequences of tropical cyclones Chido, Dikeledi and Jude, which respectively hit the country in December 2024, January and March 2025, causing destruction, flooding and leaving families homeless.
