Mozambique: More than 5,000 children displaced in Cabo Delgado in February

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) estimated that more than 5,000 children were displaced in February due to attacks and the threat of terrorism in the Cabo Delgado province, northern Mozambique.

According to UNICEF, people have taken refuge in displacement sites and five districts of the province. UNICEF also says that in response to the armed insecurity that has been recorded throughout February in some districts of the province, essential kits, including mattresses and clothes, have been distributed to almost 300 displaced children.
