A newborn baby was abandoned in a dumpster by its mother in the Chibuabuare Communal Unit, in the Cariacó neighborhood of Pemba, in Cabo Delgado province.
After being discovered by neighbors, the baby was rescued and taken to Pemba Provincial Hospital, where it received medical treatment.
