The Mozambican authorities say there are “clear indications” that the armed groups that carried out the recent attacks in the Niassa Special Reserve, in the north of Mozambique, have fled, despite recognizing that there is still a “challenging environment” in that province.
Mozambican President Daniel Chapo admitted on Friday (May 23) that the armed forces fought the terrorists who were operating in that reserve and “disappeared” from the region.
