The political, economic, and social situation is stable in the city of Maputo, after several months of demonstrations, some of which were violent, following the non-acceptance of the general election results on October 9. This is the assessment of Frelimo, Mozambique’s ruling party.
For Francisco Mucanheia, head of Frelimo’s Central Brigade, which assists Maputo city, life is returning to normal, but he recalls difficult times. He guarantees that work is underway to win the next local and general elections in Mozambique.
