The government said it will build 12 secondary schools, 98 support and learning centers, and 214 elementary school classrooms this year, according to quality and resilience standards. The information is included in the proposal for the Economic and Social Plan and State Budget (PESOE) for 2025.
The secondary schools will be built in all the country’s provinces, as follows: Cabo Delgado (1); Niassa (1); Nampula (1); Zambézia (2); Tete (1); Manica (1); Sofala (1); Inhambane (1); Gaza (1); Maputo Province (1); Maputo City (1). As far as elementary school classrooms are concerned, most will be built in Zambézia province (117); followed by Nampula (28); Tete (27); Manica (26); Gaza (26); Inhambane (18) and Solafa (11).
