The president of the opposition political party Democratic Movement of Mozambique (MDM) criticized the actions of the police who on Sunday (May 18) shot at members of his party who were marching in celebration of the day in the municipal town of Gorongosa in Sofala in central Mozambique. Lutero Simango believes that this is yet another act of political intolerance.
At least 13 people were injured as a result of police shooting at members of MDM in the municipality of Gorongosa, without any apparent justification, says the president of the opposition party.
