More than 60% of Mozambican children face limitations in their development during early childhood, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday (May 29).
According to the Ministry of Health, the limitations of early childhood development in Mozambique, with the province of Nampula being the most affected, are associated with multi-sectoral factors, especially food challenges, in a country where, overall, around 13 million children, out of more than 16 million, live in poverty, according to the most recent report on child poverty by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
