The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned of an imminent “children’s emergency” in Mozambique caused by the cut in international humanitarian support. UNICEF forecasts a 20% drop in funding in the country by 2026.
According to UNICEF, Mozambican children are facing “unprecedented crises,” a situation that could worsen as funding is cut. In response to these cuts, UNICEF Portugal launched an urgent appeal for donations to support emergency operations in Mozambique and guarantee a future for these children and their families.
