Mozambique and the United States of America recently celebrated US National Day and 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, in a ceremony marked by the reaffirmation of their mutual commitment to sustainable development, peace, and prosperity.
The US ambassador, Peter H. Vrooman, spoke of US investment in the training of more than 30,000 health professionals and the creation of laboratory infrastructures, as well as support for the response to outbreaks such as cholera and polio. The relations of cooperation and partnership also extend to the economic area, with the 4.7 billion US dollar loan approved this year by the EXIM Bank standing out, which will allow the natural gas sector in Cabo Delgado to advance.
