The World Food Program (WFP) has received a donation of 500,000 euros from the Finnish government to help children in Mozambique. With the money, the UN agency is expected to deliver school meals to tens of thousands of pupils over the next three months in Nampula province.
The proposal includes the immediate implementation of food distribution and intensifying the shared commitment of the Government of Mozambique, the WFP, and partners to improve education, nutrition, and food security in some of Mozambique’s most vulnerable areas. The Finnish contribution funds daily hot meals a vital investment for the future of Mozambican pupils.
