A recent study reveals that chronic malnutrition affects an alarming 38 per cent of Mozambican children under the age of five. This phenomenon, which has been a persistent challenge in the country, threatens the physical and cognitive development of future generations.
Non-governmental organisations and government institutions have stepped up their efforts to implement nutrition and awareness programs in an attempt to reverse this situation. However, mobilising resources and raising awareness among the population remains fundamental to the fight against chronic malnutrition in Mozambique.
