Analysts believe that Mozambique could be affected by the conflict between Israel and Iran, particularly in terms of fuel imports, if the situation escalates. The country imports most of its fuel from the Middle East region.
“The situation of stability or geopolitical conflict between Israel and Iran has impacts here from a global macroeconomic point of view, but then it can also have perverse impacts on the national economy,” said economist Clésio Foia, who believes that the country could suffer if the conflict spreads.
