171 two-bedroom houses will be handed over to the same number of families who were victims of Tropical Cyclone IDAI in the district of Nhamatanda, Sofala Province. The houses were built by the Tzu Chi Mozambique Charity Foundation, as part of its support for reconstruction projects following the passage of that tropical cyclone, which devastated Sofala province in March 2019.
Tzu Chi Foundation explains that the houses to be handed over tomorrow (June 11) are budgeted at 2.3 million USD and are part of a total of 3,132 homes to be built by the first quarter of next year (April 2026).
