Murders, the removal of human organs, and kidnappings continue to worry people with albinism living in Mozambique. This group complains of stigma and discrimination and demands respect.
“People with albinism continue to face significant human rights challenges, including discrimination, social exclusion, and serious violations of their rights. The Government is committed to addressing this scenario by carrying out national and international awareness campaigns,” said the Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs during the launch of the Albinism Awareness Week on Jun 9.
