The National Meteorological Institute (INAM) is forecasting wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour from the early hours of tomorrow (June 27) in the south of the country. In addition, sea turbulence is forecast, which could generate waves up to 3.5 meters high during the same period.
The alert is for Maputo province, mainly in the districts of Matutuíne, Namaacha, Boane, Manhiça, Marracuene, and the cities of Maputo and Matola. Gaza province (mainly in the districts of Chókwe, Bilene, Limpopo, Mandlakazi, Chibuto, Guijá, Chongoene, and the city of Xai-Xai). Inhambane province (mainly in the districts of Zavala, Inharrime Panda, Jangamo, Homoín,e and the cities of Inhambane and Maxixe).
