A wave of fainting spells is sweeping through Nhamatanda Secondary School in Sofala province, central Mozambique. The problem has already forced classes to be suspended for a few days.
The phenomenon affects students of both sexes who, in a trance, destroy almost everything they come across, as one of the students who witnessed the acts told. As an immediate intervention, the education authorities in coordination with the Nhamatanda Secondary School Council are holding religious services on the school grounds.
