The Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Mozambique (PGR) has started 31 legal proceedings against police officers in connection with the disturbances that took place after the general elections.
According to the Mozambican NGO “Plataforma Electoral Decide”, approximately 400 people were killed and 619 were injured by gunfire during the five months of demonstrations, which began on October 21.
