The European Union (EU) will disburse around 1.5 billion meticais (20 million euros) for digital transformation programs in Mozambique over the next three years, it was announced on Thursday (28 August).
The Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation, Américo Muchanga, said that with funding, Mozambique will be able to implement the digital identification process, creating platforms that facilitate financial transactions in state institutions. The three-year project provides, among other things, for the construction of infrastructure and the training of human capital in the public and private sectors.
