Mozambique: More than 3,600 displaced in two districts of Cabo Delgado in four days

According to data released by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), more than 3,600 people fled two districts of Cabo Delgado in four days due to the resurgence of terrorist attacks in that northern province of Mozambique.

According to a field report by that United Nations agency, “between September 19 and 22, 2025, the escalation of attacks and insecurity caused by armed groups in Cabo Delgado “triggered new displacements in the districts of Balama and Mocímboa da Praia.”
