During a meeting with Minister of Health Ussene Isse, United States (US) Chargé d’Affaires Abigail L. Dressel announced that the US will donate Lenacapavir, an FDA-approved injectable medication administered twice a year for HIV prevention.

Mozambique is one of ten countries selected worldwide for this pioneering program. This initiative is part of the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
