The World Health Organization (WHO) pledged to provide Mozambique with approximately 3.5 million doses of cholera vaccine. The commitment was made during a meeting with WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus on the last day of a working visit to Switzerland.
This donation will help boost the government’s vision to have a Mozambique free of cholera as a public health problem by 2030, where communities have access to safe water, sanitation, and quality healthcare achieved through multisectoral, coordinated actions informed by scientific evidence.
