The National Health System in Mozambique is facing a serious supply crisis, especially the shortage of the BCG vaccine, which is essential for preventing the most serious forms of tuberculosis in newborns.
In Maputo, several children have been waiting almost two months for their first dose. Families have been forced to visit multiple health centers in search of the vaccine for their children, with reports of children born at the beginning of May who have not yet received BCG.
