The National Institute for Disaster Risk Management (INGD) has initiated a series of simulation exercises aimed at assessing the readiness and local response capacity to various risks and threats that may occur in Mozambique’s 64 districts.
The rainy and cyclonic season in the country begins in October, and the ceremony to launch the simulations took place on Wednesday (July 2) in the district of Lago, in Niassa province, under the direction of the president of the INGD, Luísa Meque.
