Mozambique and Africa will benefit from new cooperation in the education sector, thanks to an initiative announced during the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-9), taking place in Yokohama, Japan.
According to Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, this initiative promises to improve the learning of 10 million children and develop technical skills in 150,000 young people across several African countries, with a particular emphasis on Mozambique. In addition to investing in basic education, technical training aims to prepare thousands of young people for the job market, combating unemployment and promoting local development.
