Mozambique currently has a total of 16 active cases of Mpox, spread across the provinces of Niassa, Manica, and Maputo. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 22 patients have recovered.
To prevent the spread of the disease, the Ministry of Health emphasized the need to identify patients with compatible symptoms and ensure that laboratory tests are carried out quickly. Health authorities are focused on strengthening surveillance in Niassa province, which currently has the highest number of active cases.
