Mozambique is facing the largest outbreak of Mpox (monkeypox) ever recorded in the country, and now has 65 cases of Mpox, with 32 recoveries and no deaths. The government is preparing for the arrival of vaccines in September and is stepping up surveillance in all provinces.
In total, 32 patients have already recovered, demonstrating the effectiveness of treatment and clinical follow-up measures. The government has announced that the first mpox vaccines are expected to arrive in Mozambique in September, at a time when the numbers call for greater prevention.
