The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sociedade Moçambicana de Medicamentos (SMM), Evaristo Madime, announced that the production of injectable medicines will begin this year. The expectation is for an annual production of 18 million injectable units, with 8 million for domestic needs and 10 million for export.
Evaristo Madime also stated that INFARMA and the National Medicines Factory (FNM) are working to produce medicines for endemic diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, and lung infections.
