Graça Machel, activist and children’s advisor, expressed concern about the situation of minors in Mozambique, citing domestic violence, child labor, early marriage, sexual exploitation, and illiteracy as some examples of the abuses to which many children are subjected.
Graça Machel expressed concern about the way children are treated in Mozambique: “Our society is changing rapidly, which brings challenges that are not always visible. The normalization of the violation of children’s rights is something that should concern us greatly.”
