The Mozambican government approves a plan estimated at €409 million to eliminate cholera in the country by 2030. The outbreak, which has been active for 11 months, has already caused 64 deaths and infected 4,462 people.
The Government’s goal is “to have a Mozambique free of cholera as a public health problem by 2030, where communities have access to safe water, sanitation, and quality health care, achieved through multisectoral, coordinated actions informed by scientific evidence,” said a representative from the government.
