Mozambique: Humanitarian organizations unite to safeguard children’s rights

A group of six humanitarian organizations dedicated to children in Mozambique —ChildFund International, Plan International, Save the Children International, SOS Children’s Villages, Terre des Hommes, and World Vision International —signed a memorandum of understanding today in Maputo aimed at eradicating violence against minors.

The alliance arrives at a time when children in Mozambique face numerous challenges, including health, education, poverty, and other pressing issues. In fact, around 77% of Mozambican children live in poverty, according to the report “Multidimensional Child Poverty in Mozambique 2014/15-2022” by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
