The President of the Republic, Daniel Francisco Chapo, described his working visit to the United States of America as “extremely positive,” emphasizing that the meetings held in New York reinforced Mozambique’s international image and opened up new prospects for cooperation in the areas of energy, democracy, economic development, and public health.
On the economic front, the Mozambican president highlighted meetings with ExxonMobil, a company involved in the liquefied natural gas project in the Rovuma basin. “We have to cherish ExxonMobil to carry out this project,” he said, reinforcing the strategic importance of the energy sector for industrialization and national growth.
