More than 1,200 employees in the health sector, from different North American organizations, returned yesterday to their jobs at health facilities in Maputo province, Mozambique. The information was provided by the provincial director of Health, Daniel Chemane, speaking at the first session of the Provincial Executive Council, which assessed the disruption caused in recent weeks by the lack of assistance.
Employees working in the areas of the fight against tuberculosis and HIV-AIDS have returned to their posts following the exception made by the President of the United States to the executive order suspending foreign development assistance for 90 days.
