At least twelve people died in a road accident that took place on Sunday (February 16) morning in the town of Maluana, Manhiça district, Maputo province.
The Manhiça District Hospital confirms that 12 people died as a result of the accident. In addition to the deaths, 13 people suffered minor injuries and 4 serious injuries and were transferred to Maputo Central Hospital. The police point to speeding and irregular overtaking on the part of the semi-collective that was traveling from Gaza to Maputo, which crashed into a truck coming in the opposite direction.
