The 250 deputies of the 10th Legislature of the National Assembly, Mozambique’s parliament, will be sworn in on 13 January during a ceremony to be presided over by President Filipe Nyusi.
The 250 deputies were elected in the 7th legislative elections held on 9 October, which the Constitutional Council validated on 23 December. On the same day, 13 January, the deputies will elect the president of the AR, who the president of the CC, Lúcia Ribeiro will then swear in.
Frelimo retains its parliamentary majority with 171 deputies.
