Students at Mirua Comprehensive Primary School, in the district of Namarrói, in Zambézia province, are facing precarious conditions for the 2025 school year. Without adequate classrooms, many children attend classes under trees and sitting on logs and stones, even during the rainy season.
The situation is due to the interruption of the school’s rehabilitation work, which was being carried out by a partner. However, according to the school’s management, construction is at a standstill, leaving the students without adequate alternatives for learning. Due to the lack of infrastructure, classes are often interrupted whenever it rains, damaging the school calendar and the student’s performance.
