The ambassador of the United States of America to Mozambique, Peter Vrooman, assured the continuity of his country’s financial support for programs to combat HIV/AIDS in Mozambique. In a meeting with Finance Minister Carla Loveira, Vrooman lamented the suspension of funding for other programs, but noted that the health sector is a priority.
At the meeting, the Minister stressed that the American government is the main cooperation partner of the National Health System and the Ministry of Health, particularly through USAID and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
