Mozambique: 226 public assets destroyed in recent months

In Mozambique, at least 226 public administration infrastructures were destroyed by cyclones and post-election protests in seven provinces, the government said, planning to mobilize “specific resources” for reconstruction.

Mozambique has suffered a wave of destruction caused by the post-election demonstrations and also by the multiple cyclones that have hit the country since last October. There is a “parallel exercise” for the government to find out the overall amounts needed to rebuild and rehabilitate infrastructure, with “specific packages” being designed for this purpose.
