The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is mobilizing funds from various sources to extend humanitarian assistance to internally displaced people who are victims of terrorist attacks and climate change in the provinces of Cabo Delgado, Nampula, and Sofala, in the northern and central regions of Mozambique.
Recently, the European Union (EU) announced that it will provide a total of 41 million euros (2.8 billion meticais) in humanitarian aid for the Southern Africa and Indian Ocean region. Of the total amount, 17 million euros (1.1 billion meticais) will go to Mozambique.
