The President of the Republic of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo, has chosen Tanzania for his first state visit abroad since taking office at the beginning of the year. This is a historic partner with which Mozambique has close diplomatic, political, defense, and security relations.
The visit sought to remedy a lack of dynamism on the economic front. The two countries’ delegations held intense bilateral talks that culminated in the signing of various cooperation agreements in the areas of trade, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, education, and culture.
