Álvaro Massingue has just won the elections for the presidency of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique. The candidate won 87 votes against 62 for Lineu Candeeiro and 12 for Maria Abdula.
The voting process, which was scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., officially got underway at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14. Until the early hours, only two candidates had been approved for the race for the presidency of the body, but after several hours together, the CTA General Assembly decided to integrate the candidacy of Álvaro Massingue.
